Soludo Winner Of Anambra Governorship Election

The Chief Returning Officer of the election, Professor Florence Obi, following the collation of the results of Ihiala announced Soludo as the winner of the Anambra election with a total of 112, 229. She said that the PDP took second with 53,807 votes, APC got 43, 285 and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of YPP got 21, 262.

Reacting to the victory, Soludo appreciated all those who supported him in the project foremost of whom were Chief Willie Obiano and his wife for their support. He vowed to lead Anambra to embrace the fourth technological revolution as he called for support from fellow candidates in the governorship election.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the APC, however, refused to endorse the results of the election that returned Soludo as winner of the Anambra governorship election.

The APC agent said he had reservations about the result and was going to consult his candidate and campaign before coming up with a response.

Speaking early on Wednesday, the APC agent said:
“It is a relief that we have come to the end of the process. This is the end of the particular phase of it, the result that was announced was not what we expected. Definitely what happened in many places is not what happened. We have a lot of questions. We cannot sign what we do not believe in, we do not believe in the entire result and the entire process. We will go back and the campaign will meet with the candidate and take a decision.”
