APC Flays Delta Govt’s Plan For Keke Plant
The All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State has raised a red flag against the proposal by the state government to enter a partnership with Stallion Auto Keke Limited towards the establishment of a tricycle assemble plant in the state.
Noting what it claimed as questions over similar past schemes, the APC in a statement issued by Francis Ameachi of the Directorate of Media & Publicity, APC, Delta State, the party said:
“This is another level of scam meant to defraud overzealous tricycle riders by the government agents. This is the same government planning to ban Keke in some major cities in the state and restrict them to towns and streets where roads are not tarred. For sure, the scam will not see the light of the day.”
Noting that other states were building motor manufacturing plants and cargo airports, but regretted that the PDP administration in Delta State was organising and celebrating a Keke plant.
“While the party is ready to field a credible, refined and hybrid personality that has all it takes to redeem the state from the battered image caused by the PDP led government, certainly, the party will come up with the much needed answers to pull Deltans out of the economic wilderness come 2023,’ the party said.
