Nigerians Roar For Rohr’s Sack As Super Eagles Draw 1-1 With Cape Verde

The Super Eagles put up an unimpressive display as they drew 1-1 with the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in what was a must-win for Nigeria to secure a spot at the Qatar 2022 World Cup forcing Nigerians to roar for the sack of manager Gernot Rohr.

The result means the Nigerians will enter the play-off route to have secure a spot in Qatar.

The Super Eagles hit the ground running, with Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen sending the Nigerians 1-0 up in the first minute, but the Blue Sharks hit back in the fifth minute through Stopira.

Both sides failed to create clear-cut chances with the match ending in a 1-1 draw to the utter disappointment of Nigerians who expected the Super Eagles to seal qualification.

The result sees Nigeria top the Group with 13 points, while Cape Verde follows in second with 11 points.
