Shocker! Nigerian Lady Cancels Wedding Hours To Church Blessing

A Nigerian lady from Idima, Abia State, Elizabeth Chiamaka James, shocked many on Saturday, November 20, 2021 when she decided to cancel her wedding hours to solemnisation to a man she just discovered was already married with children.

In a post on Facebook she apologised to family and friends for the inconvenience to them and especially to those who came from out of town. She, however, begged that she be left alone saying she would not be able to receive calls but gave an alternative number for text messages.

Chiamaka posted the picture of the two of them on Facebook with a terse message: The Wedding Is Cancelled, she said:

Dear friends,

THE WEDDING IS CANCELLED

I have decided to call off the wedding slated for this morning because I discovered that the man I intended to marry is already married with children.

I am pained and I wish to sincerely apologise for whatever inconvenience this may cause especially those who may be coming into town from far away. I won’t be able to receive calls at the moment, or respond to questions and comments as I will be offline for a while to clear my head, but you can reach me via SMS at +2348123597112.

Thank you for your understanding.

The Port-Harcourt lady who studied Mass Communication at the Rivers State Polytechnic and Federal Polytechnic, Oko Anambra State has been praised by many for what they called her courageous decision on the premise that a broken courtship is better than a broken marriage.

The scorned groom has been identified by some as a police officer but his name has yet to be revealed.

However, the fact that the Nigerian lady cancel her wedding has also been met with censure by at least one facebook user who faulted her for not knowing that her groom was married.
