Police Open Portal For Recruitment Exercise

The Nigeria Police Force, Monday announced that it had opened the online application portal for its 2021 recruitment exercise.

The disclosure was made in a statement on Monday, signed by the Police Headquarters Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba.

In the statement, CP Mba said that successful applicants would be enlisted as Police Constables (recruits).

According to the statement, the portal would be open for a period of six weeks starting from Monday, November 29, 2021 to Monday, January 10, 2021.

Disclosing the requirements for those who want to apply, the statement said that applicants must have National Identification Number (NIN), a functional email address and valid phone number before applying.

Upon completion of the application, successful applicants would be invited for physical screening from January 10-24, 2021, CP Mba said in the statement announcing the opening of the portal for the recruitment exercise.

Meanwhile, in other news, the police on the Plateau have arrested eight of the inmates who had earlier escaped during the attack on the Jos Correctional centre by gunmen.

ASP Ubah Ogaba, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Jos. The gunmen on Sunday evening invaded the prison yard and some of the inmates escaped from the facility.

Ogaba said that of the eight fleeing inmates, seven were rearrested by the police while one voluntarily surrendered himself.

“Yesterday, at about 5:20 p.m., the medium-security custodial centre in Jos came under attack by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
