Xavi Open To Managing Women’s Team In Future
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has said he’s open to coaching a women’s football team in the future.
Xavi made the statement in his pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s LaLiga clash with Real Betis.
Speaking on his admiration for women’s football, he said,
“It has been growing in recent years in a very big way. They have improved a lot in the tactical and technical aspects and have all my respect and admiration.”
“I have seen many games. I like it and I see a lot of talent in many players of the national team who have talent.
“I do not rule out coaching a women’s football team at all.” He said.
Xavi had earlier in the press conference congratulated Barcelona Femini star, Alexia Putellas after she was crowned the 2021 womens’ Ballon d’Or winner on Monday.
“The first thing I want to do is to congratulate Alexia Putellas,” the coach said, referring to the Barcelona women’s star who won the women’s Ballon d’Or on Monday,” Xavi said.
