Reactions As Starved 7-Year-Old Girl Is Rescued From Aunty In Osun

A 7-year old malnourished and abused girl who was living with her aunty has been rescued by The Osun State Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs.

According to reports, the malnourished girl was said to have been fed just once a week by the aunty, who kept her in an unkempt and uninhabitable environment.

The girl was rescued by officials of the ministry alongside men of the Osun State Police Command after they were informed of her plight.

She was found in a very bad state according to the officials. She was very skinny and unable to stand, possibly because of a few broken bones in her body

The state government has taken custody of the child and has promised to shelter, educate, feed and take care of the girl’s health.

In reaction to the story, some Nigerians slammed the inhuman act by the aunty, calling for her arrest by the authorities, while some suggested the aunty should be made to suffer the same fate as the little girl.
