Ooni Speaks After Naomi’s Marriage Snub

His Royal Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has finally spoken three days after his queen, Naomi served him a divorce notice on social media that has been interpreted as a marriage snub.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Prophetess Naomi Silekunola had on December 23 announced on social media that he would henceforth not be referred to as the queen of Ife as she announced her separation.

Speaking for the first time since the development in a statement issued on his facebook page, the Ooni called on the citizenry to be more loving, especially to those who may have been hurting through the outgoing year.

The 47-year-old Ooni speaking for the first time since the marriage snub by Naomi said on his facebook page:

“I join all and sundry in the joyous occasion of this particular season. As we all know it’s one of joy, celebrations and a deep reflection on what Olódùmarè has done through the year.

“As we do take time to celebrate with our families and loved ones, I implore you to reach out to your neighbours, especially those who haven’t had it as easy through the year.

“It is my prayer that you’ll continue to find strength to celebrate in joy, peace, and abounding love which is the bedrock of this special occasion.

“Royal blessings from the House of Oduduwa and compliments of the season.”
