I Once Shared An Apartment With Davido – Tiwa Savage

Popular Nigerian Singer, Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has revealed that when she first moved back to Nigeria, she shared an apartment with Davido.

The popular Nigerian singer shared this while performing alongside with Davido on his ‘A Decade With Davido’ show.

She said, “Not a lot of people don’t know this but when I first moved back to Nigeria, I was actually sharing an apartment with David in 1004, e don tey and I’m so proud of you in 10 years.”

In response Davido, while sharing a hug with Tiwa Savage said, “I love you, 10 years and we are going to do 100 more years.”

Before moving to Nigeria from London where she did her secondary and tertiary education, Tiwa Savage did backup vocals for English singer George Micheal at the age of 16, and lent vocals to other musicians such as Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Buntin, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli and Ms. Dynamite.

She also enrolled at Berklee College Of Music and graduated with a degree in professional music in 2007.

In 2006, Savage participated in the UK edition of The X Factor and advanced to the final 24, but ended up being the 12th person to be evicted.
