Roma’s marksman and recent hero, Tammy Abraham has been on red-hot form since signing from Chelsea last season. The 2021/2022 season has been brilliant for the Englishman as he has delivered both in Serie A and in Europe in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Abraham who has shown his fine form in front of goal bagging 8 goals and registering 3 assists in the league this season and 6 goals in the Conference League, is among the highest goal scorers in the competition.

Tammy Abraham who was sold to Roma in the summer of 2021 by Chelsea has started to prove his worth in Italy, giving The Blues a reason to regret letting him go as he has scored the same number of league goals (8) as Chelsea front three; Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku combined (8).

Jose Mourinho who signed the 24-year-old in September 2021, made his intentions clear when he said he was going to turn the striker into a beast and a world-class goal scorer, and with Tammy’s latest heroics, Mourinho looks to have achieved that.

Abraham’s goals and immense contribution have, however, not been enough to keep Roma in the top 4 of the Serie A as they seat a lowly 6th following their loss to The Old Lady.

After scoring against Juventus on Sunday, Abraham proved yet again that he can step up in the big occasions and deliver clinically, with his last four goals for Roma coming against teams in the top 5 of the Serie A ;

2 goals vs Atalanta

1 goal vs AC Milan

1 goal vs Juventus.

In Roma’s loss to Juventus, here are two key facts from Tammy Abraham’s fine performance:

14 – Across all competitions, Tammy Abraham has scored more goals (14) than any other English player within the big five European leagues this season.

14 – Tammy Abraham has also netted more non-penalty goals than any other player in Roma and for a Serie A team (14) in 2021-2022 which is another reason Chelsea could well be regretting the sale.
