A video of a mechanic offering the stick approach to an erring apprentice has gone viral on social media.

The video shows the apprentice with his hands stretched out, waiting to receive his lashes.

Some backed the mechanic’s action, saying that the way the master-apprentice relationship works, others were alarmed at the action, saying they wouldn’t allow “master” hit them.
