Stress

Stress can lead to an increase in blood pressure, sleep disruption, insomnia, and also affect the skin. Stress from work and family members is inevitable but you must find the best way to handle it to avoid premature aging.

Grudges

Life, they say, is too short and precious to hold on to grudges. This should also be your watchword if you don’t want to age fast. You need to learn how to move on from situations and forgive easily. For instance, frowning every time you are angry might cause your face to wrinkle. According to a study, forgiveness leads to better physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.

Doing away with grudges is a habit you really need to stop if you don’t want to age faster.

Sleeplessness

Sleeping regularly is crucial to one’s well-being. Therefore, you should get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Study shows that  a night of insufficient sleep can make the cells of the body age faster. Sleep helps the skin, immune systems, brain, and body generally.

However, if you are having sleepless nights or experiencing tiredness when you wake up, you should visit a doctor as such might be sleep apnoea.

Exposure to sun

There is no doubt the sun provides the body with vitamins. However, excessive exposure to the sun’s rays can weaken your skin’s blood vessels and cells.

The skin has elastic fibers that keep it firm but when these fibers are damaged by excessive ultraviolet rays from the sun, the skin begins to lose and wrinkle.

Poor diet

Food is truly important to our body but you need to know and watch what we eat. This is because you’re what you eat.

If you really don’t want to age faster than you are, then you should reduce your intake of processed and fatty foods as well as red meats as it is one of the habits that will not help your age. You can replace these with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other foods that will help boost your immune system.

Not drinking enough water

The body is basically made up of water, so naturally, it’s important to take water often in order to replenish. The skin needs enough fluids to remain fresh, firm, and healthy. Not drinking enough water causes dry skin, skin patches, and skin itching which are not needed if you want to age beautifully.
