AFCON 2021: “Playing In Garoua Is An Advantage” – Wilfred Ndidi Reveals

Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has suggested  one major advantage the Super Eagles of Nigeria have over Tunisia ahead of both teams’ 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, Round of 16 clash come Sunday night.

Ndidi strongly opines  that playing in Garoua is an advantage for the Super Eagles over Tunisia because they already have many supporters in the city.

Recall that Nigeria group stage matches against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau all took place in Garoua.

Nigeria head to the game after winning all their matches in the group stage, while Tunisia won 1 and lost two.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Saturday, the Leicester City star told reporters: “Playing in Garoua is an advantage for us, we have many supporters here and we need that.”

He added, “There are no preferred players in the team. The coach decides who plays and we all have the same target.”
