AFCON: Why Nigerians Are Blaming Buhari, ‘Ladies Hearts’ Keeper,’ Maduka

A video chat between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Super Eagles has been fingered as the cause for Nigeria’s 1-0 defeat to Tunisia in Round of 16 of the ongoing AFCON.

The goal came after Msakni’s shot from outside the 18-yard box was poorly parried into the net by Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye. The Carthage Eagles have now qualified for the quarter-finals.

Following the defeat , some Nigerians took to social media to lament the defeat, blaming President Buhari’s call, while others had special mentions for Maduka Okoye who some allege was more of a specialist in catching the hearts of Nigerian ladies.
