CNPP Scribe Hails Wabote’s Performance At NCDMB

The National Secretary of the Conference of Nigerian  Political Parties (CNPP), Chief Willy Ezeogu has commended the Executive Secretary, Engr Simbi Wabote of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) over his exceptional performance in office.

Ezeogu also dissociated himself from the call on the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to step aside for a thorough investigation of allegations of corruption against him within 21 days.

Chief Willy Ezeogu in a statement said he was misinformed about the leadership of the Executive Secretary at the NCDMB and his positive impacts on the country’s oil and gas sector.

According to the CNPP Scribe, the score card made available to him showed that the NCDMB under Engr Wabote’s leadership has recorded so many achievements in the oil and gas industry to the credit of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Worthy of note according to him, is the 17 storey NCDMB Corporate headquarters, “Nigerian Content Tower” in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, which was completed and commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2020.

“Also the Board facilitated investment in Composite Cylinder Factory project to help provide affordable gas cylinders, completion of 10MW Power Plant, establishment of a FPSO Integration facility and started the “Project 100 Initiative” to help smaller Nigerian companies to grow in the oil and gas sector. They also embarked on the construction of Nigerian Oil and Gas Parks (NOGAPS) scheme in Bayelsa and Cross River States and the creation of US$350M Integration fund” to further grow the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria.

” Wabote’s activities in the Oil and Gas industry has re-affirmed the “Giant of Africa” position of Nigeria in the continent, especially with the enabling of 50 per cent domiciliation of $12billion NLGN Train 7 project, promotion of African Local Content and the introduction of Nigerian Content 10 years Strategic Road Map,” the CNPP scribe said.

“Most importantly, thousands of women and youths from across all the States of the Country have benefitted from different trainings, skill aquisition and empowerment programs as well as human capacity development from the NDCMB under Engr. Wabote.”

The CNPP scribe also cautioned those calling for the removal of Engr. Simbi Wabote to stop forthwith and allow the ongoing Legal process in the United States initiated by Engr. Wabote to clear his name of allegations of corruption by the publisher of Pointblank News get to its logical conclusion.
