Excitement As DJ Cuppy Lands New Job At BBC

Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, has been employed as a radio presenter on BBC.

Recall that In December, BBC Radio 1 confirmed that DJ Cuppy will join 1Xtra to host the station’s brand-new Weekend Breakfast Show on Sunday.

While announcing the development, the BBC radio via a statement on its verified Twitter handle, wrote, “And, congratulations to Cuppy who will join 1Xtra to host the station’s brand-new Weekend Breakfast Show on Sundays (7 am – 11 am) from Sunday 9 January 2022! Congratulations @cuppymusic and welcome to the 1Xtra family.”

However, while confirming her appointment with the BBC, the popular disc jockey via her LinkedIn posted a picture using the logo of BBC 1Xtra as a backdrop.

She captioned the picture, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Radio Presenter at BBC!”

This is another feather to the cap of the DJ as she recently had her matriculation at Oxford University last October.

Sharing the good news with her 8.2 million followers on Instagram, the entertainer wrote, “Matriculation Day at @Oxford_Uni. This ceremony confers my membership as a student! Worked my ass off to get in and it’s paid off! #CuppyOnAMission.”

In another post where the disc jockey adorned her matriculation gown, she further shared her excitement with these words, “Black Excellence at Oxford University. Love to see it. Love to be it. It’s OFFICIAL and written in HISTORY! I’ve now been MATRICULATED.”

In March 2021, the singer revealed that she had been accepted into the prestigious Oxford University, England, for a master’s degree in African Studies.

The star took to her verified Instagram page to share the news with her fans where she posted a video of when she informed her parents about the development.
