‘I Was Beaten At Home’, Young Lady Reveals Why She Contemplated Suicide
A suicide attempt by a young lady at the 3rd Mainland Bridge (name withheld) was foiled by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Nigerian Police on Thursday, 3rd February, 2022.
According to reports, the young lady was prevented from jumping into the Lagos Lagoon after RRS officers were alerted to her moves by a dispatch rider on the bridge.
Followig her rescue, she revealed that she contemplated suicide because she was beaten at home.
“I was beaten at home, that is why I ran away to commit suicide”.
The young lady has been taken to the Iyana Oworo Police Division, while efforts are ongoing to contact her family.
