Knocks For Police After Demanding Prescription For Pregnancy Test Kit From MAPOLY Student

Nigerians have taken to social media to slam some officers of the Ogun State Police Command for requesting for a prescription for pregnancy test strips and contraceptives from a MAPOLY student, Olanipekun Oladayo Irenimofe, it earlier detained.

Oladayo’s elder sister had earlier alerted the public to her sister’s arrest over the purchase of pregnancy test kit and contraceptives in a series of tweet.

PRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in reaction denied that she was arrested by the police, saying she was only being questioned as to if she had a doctor’s prescription. “The command has released her since morning. She was questioned if she has a doctor’s prescription,” he said.

In reaction to the statement, some Nigerians queried the Police, saying they had no right to ask for a prescription.
