Pix: Ronaldo Disgusted After Southampton Leveller
Hours after David de Gea expressed fears that Manchester United could be playing under a curse, Cristiano Ronaldo was captured with a disgusted look after the Red Devils were forced to another draw at home by Southampton.
Manchester United had gone into the premier league match with Southampton with enthusiasm of pulling away from the curse that de Gea had feared was over the club.
The team showed the determination of pulling away from recent uninspiring results from fixtures with Burnley and Middlesbrough.
The team had started well in the Saturday league fixture and got a deserved lead in the 21st minute through Jadon Sancho after an impressive combination between Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford who passed the ball to Sancho to tap in for a goal.
But as has been happening to Manchester United in recent times, the team began to drawback in the second half allowing Southampton to pile the pressure.
A deserved equalizer came in the 48th minute through Che Adams’ off an assist from his Norwegian teammate, Mohammed Elyounoussi.
The equalizer immediately brought a grimace and a disgusted expression on the face of Ronaldo as was captured by the cameras.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the Saturday encounter was a sort of irony for Manchester United who last year pounded the same Southampton team 9-0.
Bruno Fernandes who stood next to Ronaldo was also captured expressing the same disgusted look as the hope of Manchester United obtaining a top-four finish became a greater challenge.
