Trader Sentenced To 7 Strokes Of Cane For Stealing
A Kaduna magistrates’ court has ordered that a 25-year-old trader identified as Nasiru Ahmed, be given 7 strokes of the cane for stealing salt and flour.
Ahmed, who resides in Tudun Wada area of Kaduna got the order after pleading guilty to the charge of breaking into a shop and theft.

The prosecutor, Mr Chidi Leo told the court that one Malam Abdulmalik Lateef reported the matter at the Kawo Police Station on February 7.
Ahmed was accused of breaking into the complainant’s store located in Kawo Market, Kaduna, and stealing five bags of salt and two bags of flour.
Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel sentenced Ahmed after he pleaded guilty and begged for leniency.
