Jaruma: Reactions As Court Revokes Bail, Orders Re-Arrest Of Kayanmata Merchant

An Abuja High Court in Zuba, Abuja, has revoked the bail granted to the businesswoman Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, better known as Jaruma.

The Presiding Judge, Barrister Ismail Abdullahi Jibrin, also ordered that she should be rearrested and remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre, until March 17, 2022, the new adjournment date for the next sitting by the court on the case.

This comes after neither Jaruma nor her lawyer showed up at the court and no representation to stand in for them in court.

Recall that Jaruma was arrested on January 21, and arraigned by the police for allegedly publishing false news, intimidating and defaming businessman Ned Nwoye and his wife, actress Regina Daniels. She was subsequently granted bail on February 28.

There were mixed reactions from social media following the latest court order revoking the bail granted Jaruma.
