Nigerians Drag Shehu Sani Over Statement On Stranded Nigerian Students In Ukraine

Published

on

Nigerians on social media have heavily criticised former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani for a tweet in reference to the stranded Nigerian students in Ukraine following an invasion by the Russian military.

In recent days, the sorry plight of Nigerian students stranded in Ukraine has filled up social media, from having nowhere to go, to being racially discriminated against and turned back at the Polish border.

In reaction to the issue, Shehu Sani tweeted, “Those who are dying to study abroad; Stay at home and get into federal or state university;it’s better to hustle with ASUU than war and racism.”

Following his tweet, Sen Shehu Sani must not have expected the swift backlash from Twitter.
