Gunmen Abduct Priest, Mother And Children In Kaduna

Gunmen on Tuesday invaded Kudendan community and killed two people while abducting a Catholic Church Reverend Father, Joseph Akeke in Kaduna State.

GWG learnt that the incident happened around 1am Tuesday when the gunmen invaded the community.

A resident, who simply identified himself as Samson, told said that the operations ended around 2:30 am.

He said those killed were the local security guard at the Reverend father’s house, another resident, while a woman and her two children were abducted alongside the cleric.

“We couldn’t sleep last night due to tension and gunshots. The Reverend father of Kudenda Catholic church was abducted. His guard killed. Another man too in the community was killed while a woman and her two children were abducted,” he said.

When contacted, Police spokesman, ASP Jalige Mohammed, said he would find out the details before commenting.
