Sanwo-Olu Vows Murdered BRT Passenger, Bamise will get justice
Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed sadness over the gruesome murder of Bamise Ayanwola as he also vowed to ensure that no stone would be left unturned in the probe and effort to arrest everyone found culpable in the incident.
The body of the 22-year-old citizen was found with some parts missing.
In an address Monday night, Sanwo-Olu said the life of every citizen matters, adding that the government does not take security for granted.
“The driver of the BRT bus involved in this unfortunate incident has been arrested.
“Lagos Bus Service Ltd has been directed to cooperate fully with security agencies in their investigations,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu assured that the full weight of the law would be brought upon all involved in the murder.
The governor commiserated with Bamise’s family, friends and prayed that God would console them.
Promising that the deceased will “get the justice she deserves”, Sanwo-Olu said BRT services remain safe despite the condemnable act.
Meanwhile, celebrities including Mr Macaroni, Korede Bello have reacted to the news of the murder of Bamise Ayanmole, who was found dead with her private parts missing after her disappearance from a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus at the Chevron area of Lekki in Lagos.

“I pray Bamise’s family gets justice for their daughter. This is overwhelmingly heartbreaking.
“Evildoers are getting smarter and our security and justice system needs to be so much better than what it is right now if not. God help us all,” he said.
Mr Marcaroni, a comedian, tweeted, “Bamise’s story is so heartbreaking. It is even more worrisome that we don’t know how many people have suffered the same fate as her.
“For all we know, there could be more to suffer the same fate and that is because it is hard to get Justice in our society.
“When there are little or no consequences for evil doing, evildoers are emboldened and we end up building a society where evil is waiting to befall everyone,” he said in one of the messages from celebrities following the shocking murder of Bamise inside a BRT bus.
