Breaking: Egbunike, Police DIG Who Headed Abba Kyari Probe Slumps, Dies
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in-charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department, Joseph Egbunike is dead.
Egbunike died late on Tuesday reportedly after slumping in his office multiple sources informed GreenWhiteGreen GWG on Wednesday morning.
Egbunike, who hailed from Onitsha, Anambra State, according to one source had been feeling unwell last weekend and had on Tuesday decided to go for a medical check up.
One report claimed that after the check up that he returned to the office to continue his office routine. He, however, was said to have slumped and died in the office.
Egbunke GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports was the one who headed the special panel constituted by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, that investigated the suspended head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari, over money laundering allegations.
