Three Lawyers Killed In Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack
Three lawyers were among those killed in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, GreenWhiteGreen GWG has learnt. The three member of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, who died were Tibilere Mosugu, Ozigi Lawal and Farida Sulaiman.
The NBA Kaduna Branch confirmed the death of Tibilere Mosugu in an obituary announcement signed by Oguguo C. Anoruo-Enujekwu, publicity secretary as he prayed for the repose of the lawyer.
“We sadly announce the painful death of our member Tibilere Mosugu Esq whose shocking and untimely death occurred yesterday as a result of the train attack by bandits.
“May God rest his soul and comfort the Mosugu family and NBA Kaduna Branch of this heartbreaking and irreplaceable loss.”
President of the Trade Union Congress, TUC Peter Esele confirmed the death of Ogizi Lawal in a terse statement saying:
“The choice of being born in this country wasn’t yours to make. One thing I can attest to is your love and optimism for this country.
“Yesterday (Tuesday), the terrorist put off your light as you travel by train to Kaduna.
“Thank you for all the beautiful memories, our many travels over the years. Now your journey has ended, and another has begun. May the light and love of God, lead you on. Goodbye my Comrade SG.”
Another lawyer, Farida Sulaiman according to The Nigeria Lawyer, also died in the train attack. The deceased was said to be practicing with at Yahaya Mahmood & Co.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the death of the lawyers just as others in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack has been variously condemned with many Nigerians lamenting the state of insecurity under the present administration.
