Reno Omokri Identifies Those Behind Emefiele Campaign

Former presidential aide in the President Goodluck Jonathan administration, Reno Omokri, has exonerated Governor Godwin Emefiele of culpability in the speculations of nurturing a 2023 presidential campaign aspiration.

Omokri on the contrary has alleged a conspiracy by some others to do in the nation’s apex banker.

Omokri has thus vowed that he would not join the mob in criticising the Central Bank governor saying that recent speculations about him contesting amounted to a red herring.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had severally reported of a campaign to draft Mr Emefiele to vie for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The campaign are upon his alleged performances in giving breath to the economy through the CBN’s interventions in the real sector and notably in agriculture and industrial sectors.

However, excusing Emefiele of the allegation of abandoning his job for political campaign, Omokri in a tweet said he would not subscribe to the allegations, saying:

particularly noting that the campaign vehicles painted with Emefiele’s pictures were the work of a Fifth Columnist, he said:

“It has come to my knowledge that those vehicles purportedly for the campaign of Emefiele are a red herring by a fifth columnist. The man is innocent and his detractors just want to taint him.”

“I will not allow myself to be the instrument of someone else’s mischief!” Omokri added as he opened another vista on issues concerning the campaign to get Emefiele as president of Nigeria after the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
