NIN-SIM linkage: Reactions As FG Bars 72 Million Unlinked Sim

Many Nigerians have taken to social media to react after subscribers who haven’t done their NIN-SIM registration got barred from making calls. A total of 72 million subscribers have been blocked at the time of this report.

Recall GreenWhiteGreen GWG reported that the federal government had approved that unlinked SIM cards should be barred from making calls from the 4th of April, 2022 after several extensions of the deadline.

However, many Nigerians wondered how the Government was able and quick to bar SIM cards from making calls but could not fish out terrorists of the Kaduna-Abuja train attack even after news of contacts being made with families.

Govt is quick to reportedly stop people who haven’t done their “NIN-SIM registration” from making calls, but can’t use the same NIN-SIM link to track Kaduna- Abuja train bandits who have been making calls? Isn’t this a shameful & misplaced priority? Nigerians don’t have leaders.
