Anambra PDP Ad-Hoc Delegates Election: Panel Member Summits Report
Frank Ntima, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP panel that was supposed to supervise the 3-man ad-hoc delegate election in Anambra State has narrated how he escaped with his life after they arrived the state without the original result sheets for the election.
Frank, who sent in his report on Sunday, 1st May, shared his horrible encounter after the chairman of the panel, Jibrin Ahmed controversially left the original result sheets behind.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the controversy shadowed failed attempts by a former political godfather in Anambra State to manipulate the results of the PDP ward delegates election.

Stakeholders had held the election panel hostage at the state secretariat, Awka after they arrived without the original result sheets. It was alleged that the move was part of the plot to rig the election of the 3-man delegates election in the 326 wards of Anambra State.
In his report of his experience in Anambra State, Frank Ntima, narrated how he narrowly escaped and found his way to safety. He further alleged that after waiting in vain for the original result sheet to arrive the venue of the stakeholders’ meeting on Sunday, that the election was cancelled with the agreement of all.
He wrote; “when it became very obvious that the original result sheets weren’t coming and tension was high, it was agreed with the stakeholders that the secretary should draft a letter canceling the exercise which we signed and made to hold press conference.”
“There was no election exercise carried out as this waiting had already led far into late afternoon “, Frank affirmed.

Frank revealed that after the press conference it was difficult to leave the election venue. He said that they were eventually smuggled out by Hon. Obinna Chidoka with the help of a DSS operative who took them to DSS headquarters.
Frank Ntima further noting how he had to join the panel chairman to Enugu due to the high tension in Anambra further said:
“because if the tension in Awka and the sit at home on Mondays, I joined them (Chairman) to Enugu to be able to catch a flight to Abuja, getting to Enugu, late evening we were taken to Dannic hotel and another drama and hostage situation began”.
Frank revealed that he was coaxed to sign a paper for a press conference but he took off after the conference started. “ I was coaxed to sign the paper for the press conference and as the press conference started, I took off, I snuck out of the hotel and later found my way to safety” He said.
Frank affirmed that he is not aware of any election on the 31 of April and on the 1st of May.
