Exposed! How INEC Stopped PDP, Anambra Godfather From Rigging Ad-Hoc Delegates Poll
Details of how the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC stopped the rigging of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP three-man ad-hoc delegate election in Anambra State have started emerging.
The three-man delegate election in Anambra State was aborted two Saturdays ago after stakeholders in the party stopped the panel from proceeding with the election after the panel members led by Jibrin Ahmed arrived the state without the original result sheets.
The chairman of the panel was held hostage by the irate party stakeholders who accused the panel of playing the script of a renowned party godfather who reigned supreme in the first days of the Chris Ngige era.
After they were held hostage for hours on Sunday, May 1, 2022 the chairman of the panel finally confessed that they left the original result sheets in Abuja and issued a statement to the effect that there was no election. His statement was also recorded on video.
However, as he went back to Abuja he allegedly in connivance with the famed PDP godfather presented a set of results to the party leadership in a move clearly aimed at rigging out his rivals in Anambra State.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that the results were about to be considered by the PDP National Working Committee, NWC last Saturday when word reached party executives of the report of INEC which stated that there was no ad-hoc delegate election in the whole of Anambra State.
It was upon this that the party finally turned the screws on the godfather and threw away the controversial results that had been presented by they panel chairman.
With the development, the PDP it was gathered may now resort to the use of statutory delegates only in the forthcoming primaries for National and State assemblies’ candidates.
