Nollywood actor, Stanley Nweze has taken to his social media handle to call out the organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) for neglecting actors in the southeast.

GWGNG recalls that the 8th edition of the AMVCA took place over the weekend at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, and was graced by celebrities from within and outside the country.

Celebrities like Funke Akindele, Stan Nze, Ramsey Nouah, Broda Shaggi bagged highly rated awards.

However, concerns were raised on social media that movies produced in Asaba and other eastern parts of the country were neglected by the events organizers.

Reacting to this, Stanley Nweze in a post shared on his Instagram stories, pointed out that actors from Enugu and Asaba are not being recognised by the AMVCA organisers even after giving in their best.

He asked that the AMVCA should be changed to Lasgidi/Lagos awards since actors in other states are not recognized.

Stanley Nweze in his post said: “AMVCA ‘African Magic Viewers Choice Awards’ sincerely should be changed to Lasgidi/Lagos awards or something else because there are a lot of good actors and crew members in other areas under the same Nollywood working really hard that you all don’t recognize.”
