Anambra Group To PDP National Officers: You Are Under Watch

The Initiative for Better Anambra, IBA has charged national officers of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to ensure that they are not tarnished by the alleged schemes of a political godfather to rubbish the party in the state.

Speaking ahead of the conduct of the fresh three man ad-hoc delegate election, the group said that it was not unaware of the scheme of a former political godfather to rubbish the exercise in the state. The group said that the godfather was working in concert with a well known woman who has corruption cases to answer in the courts.

“We are disturbed by the action of this former godfather who is determined to take the state backwards in his effort to enforce the defeat of the party in the state,” the group said in a statement through its national coordinator, Imman Onye.

“We know how this particular godfather did to ensure that the PDP was divided ahead of the last governorship election. We also know how his woman associate who went to the All Progressives Congress, APC also worked against the interest of the party.”

Saying that they were putting the national officers under watch, the group said:

“We thus want to inform the national leadership that we are putting their men on ground under watch and any misbehaviour aimed at derailing the popular will of the electorate would be fittingly addressed,” the Anambra group said in its charge to the PDP national officers.
