Anyim @ PDP Convention: Vows To Restore Nationhood

Senator Anyim Pius Anyim followed the track of Atiku Abubakar in appreciating the Senator Iyorcha Ayu led leadership of the PDP in the organisation of the convention went on to stress that the nation was faced with serious challenges which required a dispassionate response to deal with.

According to him Nigeria has faced several challenges in the past, but that nothing of that could be compared to the challenges presently facing the country.

He affirmed that Nigerians expected much from the PDP to reawaken hope and that the party should not throw that hope away.

“The challenge before our party is how the PDP can deliver on the expectations from Nigerians. Nigerians expect the PDP to return to power and provide leadership, Nigerians expect our party to return to power and rebuild our economy,” he said.

Anyim added that Nigeria above the economic and security challenges he implied was also in need of nationhood, saying that a unifier was needed and promised to be the one to do that.
“Nigerians above all is to say that Nigeria is a country in search of nationhood. Today the process for that search begins today. If we enthrone the correct leadership, I promise I will build on that.

“I will build consensus and restore the dignity of Nigeria in the comity of nations. Give me your votes and I will do that,” Anyim said at the PDP convention ground.
