Nigerians have been expressing sadness as the mass funeral for those murdered during the bloody attack in Owo kingdom, Ondo State penultimate Sunday took place on Friday.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the funeral mass for the victims of the terror attack by gunmen on worshippers at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State held on Friday.
The mass funeral took place thirteen days after unknown gunmen opened fire at innocent worshippers at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
No fewer than 40 persons were reportedly murdered on June 5 when the massacre occurred. Other persons were left injured.
The venue of the mass funeral, Mydas Resort, Owo, was filled to capacity with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in attendance with other top personalities.
The mass took off following the procession into the hall by Catholic priests.
Many Nigerians were emotional as the mass funeral commenced and took to the comment sections to pay their last respects to the victims of the Owo attack.
