Father’s Day: Mercy Aigbe Pulls Back From Punching Ex-Hubby, Lanre Gentry

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has pulled back from her vow of mocking her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry on Father’s Day after suspending their social media war at the end of the last Father’s Day in 2021.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that on the occasion of the last Father’s Day in 2021, Mercy Aigbe had celebrated herself as a father following the failure of Lanre Gentry to perform his role as a father of their son, Juwon.

Her ex-husband Lanre Gentry in reply to her post said women who join in the celebration of father’s day are not worthy of being called a housewife or mother.

Replying, she wrote: Mr Lanre Gentry you better stop with the stupid lies! You better don’t just infuriate me! Gentry call your useless father to order oh cos, really I have had enough of his nonsense!!!!!

The brouhaha went on for a while before both parties sheathed their swords but Mercy Aigbe vowed to continue the war in 2022.

However, perhaps on account of the circumstances of her new marriage to video marketer, Kazeem Adeoti, Mercy Aigbe on the occasion of Father’s Day in 2022, the actress pulled back from continuing the war with her estranged husband.

The brouhaha went on for a while before both parties sheathed their swords.

However, this year’s fathers’ day has been met with silence from the usually boisterous actress.

Many have wondered if her silence is as a result of her marriage to filmmaker and marketer Kazim Adeoti.

Others think she is content with her life now and current ‘status’ and thus have no need to drag her ex-husband Lanre Gentry over his irresponsibility towards his son Juwon.
