Mixed reactions have been trailing the meeting between Labour Party presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi and former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential aspirant and incumbent governor of River State, Barr Nyesom Wike.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Peter Obi the presidential candidate of Labour Party on Wednesday June 22, had a closed-door meeting with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers.
Though what they discussed during the meeting has not been disclosed, it was however gathered that the meeting held in Port Harcourt lasted for several hours.
This report has stirred mixed reactions from social media users with many anticipating Wike to defect to Labour Party and back the party’s presidential candidate, Obi.
GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered some of the reactions:
@obunaf: Very commendable.
I wish HE Gov. Wike will see reason to join the movement for new Nigeria.
@ufannado: What has Wike gained in PDP?.
I think this is a mature move from Obi. Pls see beyond political or self interest – See Nigeria and see solution
@gbolahanobabide: What will Wike gain if he defect to be a labourer to Obi-tuary? Is Obi going to step down for him? Is Wike going to be promised a position in their heavenly administration? Or is Wike just want to play a valiant and a spoil joy? Wike can’t be so low to bow to an Obi-tuary.
01donoil: @GovWike you are welcome, we are not in support of party, we are just being OBI-DIENT and am sure you will like to be.
@adenijiharuna32: The looking alone means no trust
