INEC extend collection PVC

Osun State Government has designated Friday, June 24, 2022, a work-free day in order to give civil servants who have not yet picked up their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) the opportunity to do so three weeks before the gubernatorial election.

In a statement released on Thursday, June 23, 2022, the administration explained that the move will allow all public and civil officials in Osun to choose their PVC and exercise their right to vote in the governorship election on July 16.

This information was provided in a statement that Prince Wole Oyebamiji, the State Government’s Secretary, signed.

The statement read in part: “The Government of Osun State acknowledges the importance of workers in the democratic process, and is aware that the only way workers can give life to their aspiration for a worker-friendly government is through their votes.

“The government does not want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right, especially as it affects their overall wellbeing and the security of their future, ” the statement read.
