The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP vice-presidential running mate has fired a first shot at the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, taunting him over his failure to name a running mate.

Speaking in an interview, Dr Okowa said that unlike the APC presidential candidate that the PDP ticket has been decisive bringing an experience he said would be needed to change the rot created by the present administration.

Okowa spoke in an interview on Channels Television monitored by GreenWhiteGreen GWG that could well indicate that he may be the arrow head of the attack against the APC flagbearer.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the PDP standard bearer, Atiku Abubakar and Tinubu are long time friends and business partners that could well position the normally reserved Okowa as the attack dog against the APC flag bearer.

Noting the failure of Tinubu to come out with his running mate, Okowa said:

“The APC is already finding it difficult to bring somebody to be their vice presidential candidate. We are hearing names we have not heard before that they have somebody on placement to be replaced.

“That actually is not smart, that makes us even believe that they are not even ready for the election, there is still a lot of confusion in the APC and I believe that we are on the right path. Right from Day One we have taken our decisions, we are moving on and we believe that we will bring a lot of experience.”

Besides mocking Tinubu on his failure to name a running mate, Okowa also explained what he is bringing to the ticket:

“In the first instance I have been local government chairman, commissioner, Secretary to the Government, Senator and governor and in all these positions I have done very well.

“I have worked very well for the youths, I have done very well with the women. I have brought a lot to the table and if you find out Delta State is very peaceful even if it is a mini Nigeria with so many ethnic groups. We have been able to unite ourselves and been able to build a good narrative.

“Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the party is quite experienced and in today’s Nigeria with what we have seen I believe he is the right man and he is going to hit the ground running and he knows what to do.”
