Nine days after she posted that she has been having a difficult time, leading Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke has announced the end of her marriage to her movie producer husband, Austin Faani saying she does not want to end it as a corpse.

It is the second time that the movie star would be announcing the end of her marriage. The first time she did so in 2020 she confused everyone by claiming that the announcement was done in the midst of mental health issues saying that she was enveloped with bipolar disorder.

At that time she checked into a hospital and denounced her brother and other relations who came to her defence against her husband.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that in October 2020 she had made a video where she said:

“You will say I am crazy but I am not. This video is to let the world know that I am done with the marriage. I don’t have a lot to prove that I am done with him but I am done. I’m done. I am leaving with my life finally. I can’t say a lot now. You will hear my story.”

But she went back to recant few days later saying she had bipolar disorder as she went on to make another video vowing not to leave her husband despite reports from friends and family of allegations of domestic abuse.

Chacha Eke, however, late on Monday shared another post where she apologised for living a lie saying she would rather stay alive than leave the marriage as a corpse.

She said:

” NOW ALIVE OR LEAVE AS A CORPSE

Many have died pretending all is well whilst wishing, hoping and praying for a better tomorrow.

I don’t want to “die” or go inexplicably “missing”.

I sincerely and publicly apologize for living a lie these past years.True to random speculations, there has been trouble in my “perceived paradise”.

For the 2nd time in 2years, I am here again on social media boldly declaring that I am done with my marriage. My long overdue/relentless stance on this is of course no news to Austin Faani, the doctors and my parents.

If push comes to shove & suddenly i am incommunicado; my lawyers, the welfare department and the Nigerian police force have my testimonials in recorded video clips/statements set for public release on all social media apps and national newspapers.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that only on June 18 that Chacha Eke had shared an Instagram post that showed her receiving a massage where she said: …Been through a lot lately…I deserve this ?,” but at that time many did not incline to renewed troubles in her marriage.
