Pandemonium As Gunmen Attack Kuje Prison In Abuja

The Kuje area of Abuja has been thrown into pandemonium following an attack on the Kuje Medium Prison by terrorists on the night of Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

Although details of the attack are sketchy, social media has been rife with reports of gunmen attack in Kuje.

According to the Sun Newspaper, the Kuje Prison was attacked by three bombs followed by sporadic gunshots which sent residents into panic mode.

According to the report, the Prison officials had received an early warning of an impending attack on the facility

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, prison staff told The Sun that the attack was launched from the back of the prison.
