Datti Baba-Ahmed Speaks As Peter Obi Unveils Running Mate (Video)

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party on Friday unveiled his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed who came forward with a pledge to join forces with fellow party stakeholders to enthrone a new Nigeria.

Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, the founder of Baze University, Abuja, was formally unveiled to party stakeholders at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja as the Labour Party’s vice-presidential amid cheers from party supporters.

The 46-year-old was a former lawmaker who represented Zaria Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and briefly between 2011 and 2012, Kaduna North  Senatorial district in the Senate.

Speaking at the unveiling, Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed, said it was the high point of his career and praised the integrity of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate.

“He who was motivated by success in the private sector and fought and became a governor for eight years and after those eight years has maintained his integrity and honour till this day is one that will not fail in his campaign promises…Peter Obi,” Datti Baba-Ahmed said.

“He who believes in financial propriety will not engage in political rascality…Peter Obi. He who believes in credibility and integrity in who he associates with, will not mismanage human or public resources,” Datti Baba-Ahmed said vowing to join with Obi to take the vision of a new Nigeria across the country.
