All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain Comrade Ayodele Adewale has given further details on how the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will make the Nigerian currency to trade at par with the dollar.

Speaking in an interview on Arise TV Morning Show he argued that Tinubu’s shrewd training in accounting will be brought to bear noting that it was through his diligence that ExxonMobil was abode to build the headquarters complex at Victoria Island, Lagos.

The promise of retuning the naira to par with the dollar is one that many Nigerians would look up to as they remember that before the present administration that the dollar exchanged for about N150 and was selling for N615  on Wednesday.                                                                                                                                                               “The problem is corruption and the leakages that we have. When you block tackle it these things will work. I talk about bringing the naira one to one with the dollar. It is very possible.

“Asiwaju has the political capital to bring in investors to this country. If people believe in you. During the June 12 as soon as MKO Abiola was perceived to be winning the election, a lot of investors were coming into the Nigerian system. The cost of commodities were going down, similarly you are going to see these things,” Ayodele said of Tinubu’s plan to make the dollar equal to the naira.

“Asiwaju did a lot to have helped ExxonMobil Nigeria to block leakages and those leakage blockage helped ExxonMobil to have its headquarters in Victoria Island that you see today. They were tenants at the CMS bookshop but most of these (blocked) leakages also improved the economic activity of that company.

“He is an auditor and he is an accountant, Mr Shettima is a banker, he knows how to raise funds and to manage funds. These two cerebral brains are coming together to fuse as one for the purpose of developing our economy. Our economy will improve, it will improve greatly and the only thing we need is to provide enough infrastructure, provide security and to provide the energy requirement that we need to boost our investment.”
