Tinubu’s Supporters Lash Dino Melaye After Viral Video Of Candidate’s Memory Lapse

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu were on Friday rushing to explain and defend him after critics accused him of memory lapse when they uploaded a video of him calling his party, Action Congress.

In the video that showed Tinubu addressing some party operatives, he was heard telling them to show “commitment for us as members of the Action Congress…”. The APC presidential candidate was, however, guided by some nearby minders to correct him and properly name the party, APC.

The video was brought to twitter by unrelenting critic of the APC leader, Senator Dino Melaye.

While many people were quick to lay hold on the memory lapse as a reason not to vote for Tinubu, several of his supporters rushed to his defence saying that he was after all human.

Many of the Tinubu supporters also attacked Senator Dino Melaye affirming that the Kogi State born former senator cannot achieve what Tinubu has. achieved in terms of infrastructure and human capital.

Some of them said they would continue to support Tinubu irrespective of the memory lapse

The critics of Tinubu were, however, unsparing of the APC presidential candidate saying that the memory lapse was another reason for him to step aside. It was their point that the same observations were made of General Muhammadu Buhari prior to the 2015 presidential election.
