Impeachment Move Against Buhari Is A Patriotic Duty – Ortom

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Friday applauded members of the National Assembly for the six-week ultimatum issued to President Muhammadu Buhari to address the insecurity in the country or be impeached describing it as a patriotic duty. 

Ortom made this known while welcoming a delegation of some members of the National Assembly led by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

Reacting to the development, Ortom commended the move by both the Senate and the House of Representatives to impeach the President describing the move as patriotic, he also expressed gratitude to some members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who opted to support the impeachment.

According to Governor Ortom, President Buhari has performed far below the expectations of Nigerians in solving both the security and economic challenges of the country and so needed to be shown the way out for a more competent person.
