Charly Boy: 2023 Is The Fight Of Our Lives
Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy or Area Fada has revealed that the 2023 elections is not about political parties but rather based on individuals.
The self acclaimed ‘Area Fada’ disclosed this in an interview, where he said that the 2023 election would be for Nigerians to fight for their lives.

Reacting to the comments by members of the opposition parties that the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi has no structure to win the 2023 presidential election, Charly Boy opined that, that has been the story and divisive techniques for the past 52 years and Nigerians are tired of it.
The songwriter who blamed his generation saying that they are guilty of the current challenges in Nigeria, insisted that it has become a difficult task to eject the old leaders.
In his words: “Well, we have heard the same news for the past 52 years, it has been the same divisive techniques, it’s from the same old people, they deal with the religion, and big cities but I think that Nigerians are sick and tired of it all.
“Nigerians want better, let me add that somehow, my generation is guilty and I have already apologized, for seeing the red flag, knowing the red flag yet insistent on the ‘My Thief is better than your thief’ mentality and this is why we are here.
“It is the reason why the political environment has been overtaken by vagabonds and people who have no deal with leadership and now it’s becoming a lot difficult to do away with these vagabonds in power. This is the fight of our lives and I believe, like I will always say that the salvation of this country lies in the hands of exceptional youths.”
According to the singer the 2023 election should not be about political parties but people should focus on the character of the individuals.

He said: “I don’t know, I really don’t know, I have always had faith in the Nigerian exceptional youths, I don’t expect everybody to be on the same page at the same time but I know that the salvation of Nigeria lies in the hand of the exceptional people. Wherever they want to go, that is where you will find me as their area father.
“I don’t think it’s about political parties, I think it’s about the character of the individuals, that is what it should be about and that is what I feel people are agitating for, hence the euphoria.”
