Liverpool Start Campaign With Frustrating Draw At Fulham
Last season’s Premier League runner-up, Liverpool commenced the 2022/23 campaign on a restrained note on Saturday as it forced premiership returnees, Fulham to a 2-2 away draw.
GWG reports that Tete opened scoring for the home team in the 32nd minute before Nunez registered his first for Liverpool at the 64th minute after the break.
Liverpool at that point appeared to be dictating the pace and were set to take the lead until a foul in the Liverpool 18 yard box was confirmed as a penalty that set Fulham to the lead again.
Liverpool’s iconoclastic goal poacher, Mo Sallah restored parity with Fulham in the 80th minute.
Sallah’s goal made it the sixth consecutive season that his name entered the score sheet at the beginning of a season.
