Pioneer leader of the All Peoples Party, APP caucus in the Fourth Republic House of Representatives, Mohammed Kumaila has mocked the All Progressives Congress, APC after the party announced his suspension five months after he dumped the party.

Kumaila made his retort on Tuesday in response to the viral letter of his suspension from the party issued from his Limanti, Maiduguri ward in Borno State.

Kumaila was the leader of the APP caucus in the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003 and was an aspirant for the governorship of Borno State on the platform of the APC in 2019.

Following the emergence of Governor Babagana Zulum and the internal discord that shadowed his emergence, Kumaila resigned from the party in March 2022.

Reacting on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 to the news of his suspension, Kumaila in a letter to the ward chairman of the APC in his Limanti , Maiduguri ward, wrote:
“My attention was drawn to a letter circulating on social media platforms purported to be written and signed by one Mohammed Kagu as Secretary of Limanti Ward, suspending my membership of the party with effect from yesterday 8th August, 2022.

“Although I cannot verify the authenticity of the letter as the signatory of the letter is not known to me, I feel it is important for the records to state the true state of affairs. As you are aware, I resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC on the 21st March 2022 and have conveyed it to you through a letter hereby attached. I had equally copied the letter to the Maiduguri Metropolitan APC Chairman as well as the State party chairman. It is therefore surprising to say the least that tafter almost five months, a letter suspending me from the party is being circulated on social media.”

Hon Kumaila further mocked the party over the wrong spelling of the name of the party as reflected on the letter headed paper used in dispatching the suspension letter.
