GWG reports that Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State had taken to his verified Twitter handle to mock supporters of the Labour Party (LP), presidential candidate, Peter Obi over their plans for a two million march in Kaduna.

Recall that supporters of Obi have recently organized rallies in some parts of the country to show solidarity for the former Anambra governor’s presidential aspiration.

GWG reports that supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi in Nasarawa State on Saturday shut down activities in the state capital, Lafia as they came out in a show of force to the dismay of critics.

The supporters cutting across several support groups also effectively shut down commercial activities in Lafia after they shut down their businesses and also took to the streets paralysing road movement.

GWG, however, reports that the plan for an Obidient Movement march in Kaduna is significant for at least two reasons.

Kaduna is the political capital of the North and a significant support for Obi could snowball into the rest of the North. Secondly, Obi’s running mate is from Zaria, Kaduna, El-Rufai’s hometown.

However, observing the plans to entrench the Obident Movement in his base, El-Rafai on Monday morning mocked the mobilisation efforts of an Obidient Twitter user, @zarmaomar who via the tweet charged his follow Obedients to turn out in large numbers for the proposed Kaduna rally.

The twitter user tagged the walk “ Kaduna Two Million March for Peter Obi”.

Reacting to his tweet, the Kadana State Governor mocked the Labour Party’s supporters accusing them of importing people from the East via night bus.

According to El-Rufai, he hopes that the party gets up to two hundred persons for the rally.

He wrote: “In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter? –

?????????????? I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays, and came on overnight bus last night!!

I jus’ dey laff, wallahi tallahi!! – @KadunaResident”

El-Rufai’s mockery has stirred massive controversy on social media as Obedient Nigerians took to their handle to drag the governor.

Many expressed disappointment in him while others mocked him for seeing the march as a threat.

@arizzto1011: Look at what a governor is writing? Very insensitive. Your ha8 for Igbos will d3stroy you and all that you hold dear. Why are you afraid? Yet you want to come to the east to campaign right?

@fs_yusuf_: That you have to respond to this, is a clear indication that you feel super threatened and unsettled?

This isn’t you disproving or dismissing a fact, this is you yielding to the trepidation that it is PO-ssible

“Import” is a strategy of APC
that we won’t be employing. Rest

@isodore0001: Dear El Rufai…just type “I HATE IGBOS” with your full chest…no dey disguise.

Say hi to terrorists for us, the real Administrators of Kaduna state.

@victorisreal_: I don’t know how y’all see this but this sounds like a threat. If anything happens to any Nigerian in Kaduna who comes to stand in solidarity with Peter Obi, El Rufai should be held responsible. Bl00d sucking demon
