Popular Nigerian skit maker, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni has recounted the numerous threats to his life, following his vow not to vote for either of the two major presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar.

The actor said that he was unmoving in his vow not to vote for the APC or PDP.

The thespian made this known in a series of posts shared on his verified Twitter page on Monday, 15th August, where he narrated an encounter with a woman during a recent visit to his mother. Macaroni said he was warned to desist from campaigning against a particular candidate.

According to Mr Macaroni, he has lost count of the different threats that he had received from some party members and supporters of a particular candidate.

Macaroni argued that there is so much dishonesty everywhere and it is getting worse every day, however, his message has not changed on the need to elect a suitable candidate.

He added that he will never cast a vote for PDP or APC and cannot speak for other people but he has made his final decision.

He tweeted: “I went to visit my mother 2 weeks ago. I was giving out money to some people in the neighbourhood as I always do anytime I go home. A woman walked up to me and asked why I am against a particular candidate. I said I am not against anyone. All I want is for a better country.

“And that can only happen when we vote in good leaders. The next thing she said is that I should better watch myself because they know where my people live. I asked if that was a threat and she continued saying all sorts. My sister and manager were with me and I have a video!!

“I can go on and on about different threats that I have received from some party members or supporters of a presidential candidate because they somehow believe that I am against their choice. Cyberbullying via different online attacks and tribal propaganda.

There is so much dishonesty going on and it gets worse by the day. But my message will never change! Nigerians have suffered enough!!! Look around you and look at the serious challenges we are facing as a people. There’s no Messiah anywhere

“I have been saying it since October 2020 that I will never cast a vote for APC or PDP!! I can’t speak for others but I can speak for myself and that is final!! Do with this information whatever you wish to do with it.

“However, to stand a chance for a better Nation come 2023, we must elect the most suitable options to occupy positions of leadership in the country.”
