GWG recalls that Tinubu met with the APC Governors after addressing the party supporters at the MKO Abiola stadium, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Prior to his meeting with the governors, Tinubu had met with Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo to solicit his support.
Those in attendance includewe the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma and Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
Others in the meeting were the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, among others.
Deji while reacting to this, via his Twitter handle on Thursday, said while Tinubu is meeting with APC governors, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is busy “drinking fura in Yola”.
He wondered why Atiku is so relaxed while the former Lagos governor is also reaching out to some PDP governors to see how they can reach a compromise.
He wrote: “Tinubu currently meeting with APC governors & Atiku drinking fura in Yola. And Tinubu is also reaching out to some PDP governors daily to see how they can reach a compromise. Only God knows where Atiku is getting his confidence from. The opposition that should be united is not.”
